I think I've finally found the direction that I want my studies to go in, which is very exciting! Fungi is a definite but I also want to study shamanism. I've been reading a lot of Terence McKenna recently and I would love to partake in his field of study. Though Terence never claimed to be a shaman, he certainly acted and studied like one. There are many mysteries in this world and I think this a way to start uncovering them. I love fungi for what they are, a seemingly simple yet very complex organism. Did man really evolve through the ingestion of psilocybin mushrooms? Was the bible truly written by a sex cult's use of psychedelics? Can we communicate to alien beings through the use of psilocybe and/or dimethyltryptamine? These questions and more I hope to one day answer. I feel fortunate to have found this to be my passion at this young age.
Also, I am most definitely going to attend the Telluride Mushroom Festival next year! It is only a 13 hour drive from Los Angeles, so look out fellow Fungophiles!!
